Debbie Landa, CEO and Founder

Debbie Landa has been an entrepreneur for more than 20 years. She is the founder and CEO of Dealmaker Media which was launched in the fall of 2000. Her conferences bring together leading executives looking to discover the next great startup and partners that can accelerate their growth. Over 500 emerging startups from Linkedin, Admob, Rightscale to Box.net have presented at her conferences. She is considered a curator of innovation and has become one of the most influential connectors in Silicon Valley. Before starting Dealmaker Media, she ran business development for a venture "catalyst" firm focused on accelerating growth for emerging startups. Prior to that, she spent 10 years in the fashion industry working with various clothing manufacturers, designing and developing private-label programs for major retailers. Giselle Umland, Director of Events and Operations

Giselle Umland is the Director of Events and Operations at Dealmaker Media. Her event and meeting planning experience spans the business development, human resource, and finance fields. Prior to joining Dealmaker Media, Giselle was an Event Manager at Agencia Um, a leading event production company in Sao Paulo, where she served clients such as Citibank, Bank of Boston and ABN AMRO Bank. She holds a B.A. degree in Tourism from Anhembi Morumbi University and completed the San Francisco State University Event and Meeting Planning Program.

Emma Comeau, Program Manager

Emma Comeau is the Event Coordinator at Dealmaker Media. Prior to joining the Dealmaker Media team, she managed the office of a major industrial design firm, a multimedia company and a security software company. Emma graduated from the Art Institute of Colorado and also dabbles in character animation. Emma is an app-junkie is currently seeking professional help for her addiction. Beth Burgee, Community Manager

Beth is a Community Manager at Dealmaker Media. Working from the Portland office(s), she brings a strong science-analytics background to the intensive research and vetting processes for conferences. Prior to Dealmaker Beth was working in community management, social media strategy, research and analysis. She holds a MA from the University of Queensland in Environmental Management and is an alumnus of Smith College. She’s freakishly good at getting information, so watch out. Madeline Vann, Marketing Coordinator

As Marketing Coordinator, Maddie is responsible for event registration, for overseeing development and maintenance of the websites, and for assisting the Director of Events and Operations with conference signage and logistics. She graduated from the University of San Diego with a BA in Interdisciplinary Humanities and a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Management. Prior to joining Dealmaker Media, she worked in event planning and program management in education and the performing arts.

Juliana Pantet, Director of Business Development

Juliana Pantet is the Director of Business Development at Dealmaker Media. She is responsible for developing strategic relationships and bringing in awesome partners with companies and organizations in the tech entrepreneurial/startup and media industries. She brings extensive Business Development experience and she even speaks government! Prior to joining Dealmaker Media, Juliana was a Trade Commissioner for the Consulate General of Canada supporting Canadian start-ups getting connected to Silicon Valley. She was responsible for the technology sector in Northern California, Nevada and Hawaii by developing initiatives to get the local tech community engaged in supporting Canadian entrepreneurs. She holds a B.A from Seattle University in International Relations & Spanish. She also holds a Juris Doctorate but is too much of a trail blazer to hang with the lawyers!
